KEY PRINCIPLE OF PRAYER #15: YOUR SECRET CLOSET OF PRAYER:

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” (Matt 6:6)

Jesus is telling us that setting aside time for the Father is absolutely essential! Note Jesus says “when” - implying that we will set aside alone time for a relationship with the Father. What we set side time for is what we value, and the Father should be our top priority! Where or how really doesn’t matter as long as it’s time for just you and Him. Ps 5:3 recommends the early morning:

“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

Honestly, there’s really no better way to start the day before we get involved with the thousands of things that demand our attention during the day!
